2011 Dodge Charger [Facelift] Pursuit announced

Chrysler is clearly ready to participate in the next round of Cop Car Wars, releasing initial details and a photo of the 2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit. Directly going up against the Chevy Caprice with available V8s and RWD, as well as Ford's Taurus Interceptor and the Carbon Motors E7 (is that still around?), the new Charger will feature all the up-rated bits necessary to work for The Man.

It will get a re-tuned suspension, "heavy-duty" brakes, front and rear sway bars, 18-inch steelies, and two-mode stability control. Inside, there will be a Police Interface Module (for tech integration), special front seats, a column-based shifter, and red/white LED lighting.

The standard engine will be Chrysler's new 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 (E85 compatible), while the 5.7-liter V8 with MDS is optional. Police departments will be able to place their orders in September.

We remind you that the facelifted Charger was recently scooped in police uniform on the Fast and Furious 5 movie set. You can check out those photos here.
